Eligibility summary
Turkey runs two systems: a fully online e-Visa for eligible passport holders, and a traditional consulate application for everyone else. Which applies to you depends on your passport country, not where you live.

Processing guidance
e-Visa: often same-day. Consulate route: varies. Check your exact status on the official portal before booking travel.
Check your route: e-Visa or embassy
Select your passport nationality — Turkey's e-Visa vs. embassy application depends on this, not where you live.
How to apply, step by step
- 1Enter your passport country in GetTravixa's eligibility check to see instantly whether you qualify for e-Visa or need a consulate application
- 2If eligible: go to the official portal (evisa.gov.tr), enter your details, and pay the fee — your e-Visa typically arrives by email within minutes
- 3If not eligible: locate your nearest Turkish embassy or consulate and follow their application process directly
- 4Either way, build your GetTravixa document checklist and upload your documents for AI review
- 5Keep a digital and printed copy of your e-Visa or visa to present at check-in and border control
GetTravixa doesn't book your appointment or submit your application for you — you complete and submit everything yourself. GetTravixa is not an immigration authority, law firm, or consulate, and doesn't guarantee visa approval.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Relying on outdated eligibility lists instead of checking the official portal directly
- Using an unofficial or spoofed website instead of evisa.gov.tr
- Passport validity that doesn't clear the 6-month requirement
- Accommodation bookings that don't cover your full stay dates
- Applying at the last minute instead of leaving buffer time before travel
